Three-way ball valves
Three-way ball valves are a versatile solution for controlling process flow. They are most commonly configured with L-Port or T-Port flow patterns, each serving a distinct function. The ball is drilled to form either an L-shaped or T-shaped port, which determines how media is directed through the valve.
L-Port Flow Pattern
- Designed to divert flow between two different destinations
- Can also be used to draw media from multiple sources
- Cannot be configured to have all ports open at the same time
T-Port Flow Pattern
- Allows media to flow straight through from one side of the “T” to the other in the normal position
- Can be configured so that in one position media flows directly through, and in another position all three ports are open simultaneously
- Provides greater flexibility compared to L-Port valves
